Well, I had a good time. Hope everyone else did too. We managed to blow up a 5gal propane tank that was obviously pretty full because it burned for a while. Dakota (Nathan) managed to nearly take away my vision in my left eye because I thought it'd be smart to play with airsoft guns without eye protection (Adults, don't do this at home OR in the desert). Mandataco got his chin burned with a roman candle and got his knuckle busted open by an airsoft gun. Ranger caught his sweatshirt on fire several times and also thought it to be fun to shoot people in the crotch with his blood-drawing, way too fast shooting airsoft gun. Ranger also found a fun but dangerous way to extinguish a fire. Throw a can of butane/propane mix in the fire and it will explode, extinguishing the fire but also launching the firewood about 100 feet away in several directions and giving it a height of about 20 feet. It was pretty cool! I got stuck several times in the sand (Surprise!). We had some GREAT Chinese food thanks to the great folks at VIP American Bar-b-que and Chinuise Cuisine. We also had a great breakfast courtesy of Ranger and Mandataco with some Huevos Rancheros (I guess that's what it's called. It was eggs, hashbrowns, and bacon wrapped up in a tortilla). I made some silver dollar pancakes and burnt every one except the last one (mine!). How convenient! :) We had a decent turnout with Hasse, Dakota, Ranger, Myself (Mgyver), Mandataco, Will, Jeremiah (Or was it Jacob?) and Tucker. Too bad some people were scared of the weather (Only gonna mention initials, M.A.N.D.A.T.A.C.O. and R.A.N.G.E.R.1.) and wanted to surprise the girls who had a slumber party already planned, so we only stayed one night. Oh well, hopefully next time we will have more time, more people with paintball guns, and be more prepared. I forgot firewood, my bag of clothes that was packed and ready to go, measuring cups (luckily Mandataco came through), ammo for my hand gun, the shotgun, and I'm sure more things. Also things forgotten as a group syrup (Which was then rounded up by Mandataco courtesy of Linn's Grocery, Overton LLC) for the pancakes, plates and silverware (luckily Ranger came through with some extra he had packed) and numerous other things. These trips are a great time and are also great learning experiences. Believe it or not, hanging out and doing dumb stuff is part of male bonding. They also teach us about preparedness. And also gratefullness like when we forget some important thing and it just happens that someone else just happened to have extras. I love these trips and can't wait for the next one!

Yea, this was deff a GREAT trip! And I'm glad to say the the Airsoft welts have finally gone away! The burn mark on my chin on the other hand is still pussing and dark red! Thanks guys.... And Keith, just so you know, Ranger1 and I are not wimps, we were both still getting over being sick, and the clouds and rain just didn't sound that appealing Sat night. So :icon_moon: I did have a great time and I CAN'T WAIT for the next time around. Hopefully it will be SOON. But will need more 5 Gallon propane tanks!

yes indeed..the trip was quite satisfactory. I will attempt to procure more propane tanks and other flammable divertments for our future pyrotechnic enjoyment over the next few weeks. Has anyone any photographs of our recent excursion? :icon_moon:

Bump for a reminder of a good camping trip. And here's to getting ready for the upcoming one. Remember the Phil Vassar song, "Let's Make Some Good 'Ole Days."
